ROSE QUARTZ FACIAL MASSAGE

Updated: Nov 18, 2021

Have you thought about incorporating crystals into your skincare routine?

I am skin care f a n a t i c! I've had a skincare routine since I was probably 13 and I always try my best to help everyone out when it comes to skin issues because I know just how frustrating skin troubles are.

I follow the regular skincare routine: cleanse, tone, serum, moisturizer -and cant forget the SPF and eye cream.. but i've noticed my skin just looks and feels dull after the same old routine.

Crystals are a good way to elevate your skincare routine with healing energy. Certain crystals can be used for some powerful anti-aging benefits -and if used correctly could increase blood flow and reduce any fluid build up that could cause swelling in the face and neck area. The use of crystals in your skincare routine replenishes skin cells and can prevent signs of ageing.

I want to talk a bit about a facial massage that can easily be incorporated into your skincare routine with the use of a facial wand.

I like the use of Rose Quartz in skincare because the stone is actually anti-bacterial -therefore you wont be gliding bacteria all around your face and neck each time you use it. Rose quartz brings deep inner hearing and peace encouraging self love and acceptance. It stimulates blood circulation bringing more oxygen to the skin and releasing toxins + impurities. In ancient history Rose Quartz was believed to be a stone of youth and beauty. It is also known to relieve muscular tension that can be built up in the face. Be mindful when purchasing your facial tools and try to research a reputable source. There are companies out there who sell tinted glass labeled as "Rose Quartz". One of the most common tips to keep in mind is: if its authentic Rose Quartz it will ALWAYS be cold to the touch.

  1. Wash your face -make sure your skin is free of any dirt and make up.

  2. Apply an oil -my all time favourite oil to use is ROSE HIP. The use of an oil when using a facial massage tool is crucial to allow the tool to glide effortlessly along the skin without any tugging or pulling (tugging and pulling will actually age your skin + cause wrinkles!!)

  3. Start by placing the thinner side of the wand at the third eye point (between the brows) and glide the wand outward around the eyebrow stopping at your temple.

  4. Next you'll want to use the wider side of the wand and angel it just underneath the eye beside the bridge of the nose (tear duct area). Sweep the wand outward and upward towards your temple.

  5. Place the wand next to the nostril and repeat the movement of outward and upward -this time towards your ear lobe.

  6. Place the wand at the corner of your mouth sweeping outward and upward towards the jaw line.

  7. Lastly you'll want to massage your neck area starting just behind your ear sweeping downward towards the collarbone - repeat this step under the chin area and around the other side of your neck to drain any fluid build up and unwanted muscle tension.

*all steps should be done on both sides of the face + neck equally*

This massage will have your skin lifted + glowing - great to do before a big event to really increase the glow but also a great option to do before bed to really relax and unwind before your skin rests and recovers. Most of the recovery your skin goes through is done while we are asleep, so it is important to have a great nighttime routine.

If your looking to purchase a Rose Quartz Facial Wand they are available in the POSII store for just $25 sourced morally + ethically from Madagascar.

I hope you find this tip useful and if you do I would love to hear from you.

Take care of yourself,

-Monica
